Apple did not participate in creating a uniform standard for Metaverse

Apple was not among the founding members of the Metaverse Standards Forum, which includes Meta, Microsoft, Sony, Epic Games, Nvidia, Adobe and other giant companies.     

The tech giant refused to become members of the Metaverse Uniform Standards Group , which includes Microsoft, Sony, Epic Games, Nvidia, Adobe, Alibaba and other major IT companies .

According to the official press release, the Metaverse Standards Alliance aims to achieve compatibility between different companies’ projects and make them work with each other . It is worth noting that Apple and other companies may join this group in the future .

Most likely , Apple refused to participate in the venture, as its own mixed reality headset to run on the new realityOS operating system is due to be released soon. Apple’s first MR headset is expected to be released in early 2023 .
