Historic Win: Pro-Crypto Candidate Triumphs in Argentina Election

Amid prolonged high inflation and economic turmoil, Argentina witnessed the victory of the economic libertarian candidate, Javier Milei, in the presidential election’s second round.

Competing against the nation’s former economy minister, Sergio Massa, Milei secured the presidency with 55 percent of the vote, based on unofficial results.

Throughout his campaign, Milei made notable promises, targeting populist social policies and blaming the country’s central bank for longstanding economic woes.

He announced plans to dissolve the Central Bank and transition Argentina to using the US dollar.

Following the election win of the libertarian candidate in Argentina, economist Shant Manukyan commented on his X (formerly Twitter) account, suggesting that the feasibility of this promise largely depends on external factors.
