WhatsApp Introduces In-App Access to AI Chat Assistant
A new feature has emerged in the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp, the widely-used instant messaging application owned by Meta, marking a significant step forward in the app’s integration of AI technology.
With the growing global interest in artificial intelligence, WhatsApp is concentrating on adding new AI-focused features. The recent unveiling in the Android beta version, tagged as “2.23.24.26,” showcases major advancements in AI-powered chat assistants.
This new addition to the beta version introduces a dedicated button in the chat interface, making artificial intelligence chat assistants more accessible to users. This development is a leap towards enhancing the user experience with AI functionalities within the WhatsApp platform.
This is what WhatsApp’s development for chatbots will look like:
Previously, accessing assistants within the WhatsApp application was relatively cumbersome, as they weren’t immediately accessible from the home screen. However, the latest beta version marks a significant improvement, offering a more intuitive way to access these AI chat assistants.
This new feature is symbolized by a circular button featuring purple and blue shades, thoughtfully positioned over the “New Chat” button. These assistants, powered by Meta AI, were initially launched in September of the previous year, making a significant impression since.
Despite this progress, it’s crucial to remember that this feature is still in beta, and definitive details about its inclusion in the public version of the app are yet to be confirmed. The release date for this beta version, which incorporates this small but impactful feature, is still uncertain.
