Cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 technology developer OKX has unveiled a partnership that brings Manchester City’s star player, Rúben Dias, closer to fans through the metaverse. This collaboration is part of the “OKX Collective,” an initiative aimed at providing an immersive metaverse experience for fans.
Starting from April 3, the initiative, dubbed “Train Like Dias,” will offer fans the opportunity to engage with Dias in a virtual environment. Fans will be able to learn and practice Dias’ preferred training routines, gaining insights directly from the footballer through coaching tips and advice.
However, it’s important to note that this unique experience will be exclusively accessible to users within the OKX Collective metaverse.
Metaverse collaboration from OKX and Rúben Dias
Zaider Rafique, the global marketing manager at OKX, expressed that this new immersive experience is designed to strengthen the connection between fans. Rafique emphasized the significance of this development, highlighting it as a prime example of the capabilities of current technology.
“The potential of Web3 is expansive, bounded only by the limits of our imagination,” Rafique added.
It’s worth noting that OKX and Manchester City established their partnership in July 2022. The platform has indicated that other team members, including Alex Greenwood, İlkay Gündoğan, and Jack Grealish, are set to contribute Web3-based content in the future.
