Marvel’s Upcoming Avengers Movies: Filming and Release Dates

Marvel’s highly anticipated new Avengers films are beginning to take shape. While the filming of Avengers: Doomsday is now nearing its conclusion, the start date for Avengers: Secret Wars has also been revealed.
Avengers: Doomsday, the most exciting Marvel project since Avengers: Endgame, began shooting in March. The month-long filming, which brought back many beloved names including Robert Downey Jr., was completed a few weeks ago. However, the Avengers team will regroup after a short break, as filming for Avengers: Secret Wars will begin following Avengers: Doomsday.
Filming for Avengers: Secret Wars Will Start in April

It had been rumored for a while that the directors, the Russo Brothers, intended to film the two Avengers movies back-to-back. The latest news confirms these rumors. According to the most recent information, filming for Avengers: Secret Wars will start in April (likely April 2026, as per search results). Like Doomsday, the shooting for Secret Wars is expected to last until September.
Set to arrive one year after Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars will be a turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Secret Wars will connect all the storylines that began after Avengers: Endgame in a grand finale, after which the universe will be reset and brought together on a common timeline. However, Kevin Feige emphasizes that this will be a “reset” and not a “reboot.” This means the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not be completely restarted from scratch, as DC did. Nevertheless, the MCU will enter a new era where many things have changed after Avengers: Secret Wars.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to meet film enthusiasts on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
