SpaceX Launches 84 Satellites in Five Days

SpaceX, which is continuously increasing its satellite launch capacity, demonstrated the extent of its progress by successfully launching 84 Starlink satellites into orbit in a short period of just five days.

SpaceX, which continues to build a gigantic satellite network around the Earth, has now taken the business of satellite launching to a whole new dimension. The company has sent over 2,000 Starlink satellites into orbit this year alone, and it is progressively increasing its satellite launch capacity. Indeed, this week, we witnessed an impressive display of strength in this regard. Successfully completing three different Falcon 9 launches in a mere five days, SpaceX managed to launch 84 Starlink satellites within that period.

Now regularly launching from bases on both the east and west coasts of the US, SpaceX seems set to complete 2025, a year marked by numerous records, by further improving these records.

The Same Falcon 9 Completed Its 19th Flight

The capacity to reuse the same rockets repeatedly is what lies behind SpaceX managing to fit NASA’s Space Shuttle program’s total number of launches over 30 years into just 11 months. In fact, one of the Falcon 9 rockets used this week successfully completed its 19th flight. With these latest launches, the number of satellites in the Starlink constellation in orbit has exceeded 8,700. Currently, more than 8,600 of these satellites are actively operating and providing global broadband internet service from low Earth orbit. The company plans to maintain a similar launch tempo in the coming period to both expand coverage and increase connection capacity.
