Nvidia is preparing to enter the autonomous vehicle market directly with its self-developed robotaxi project. According to sources close to the company, the project will be officially announced soon and will be built on Nvidia’s latest driving platform, DRIVE AGX Thor.
A competitor to Tesla and BYD from Nvidia

Nvidia’s new robotaxi project will be supported by end-to-end artificial neural network technology and advanced sensor components. At this point, suppliers such as Taiwan-based Tong Hsing Electronics and Yanguang are expected to benefit significantly from the project. In particular, image sensors and lens applications will play a critical role in Nvidia‘s robotaxi vision.
It is stated that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has directly entrusted the project to senior executive Ruchi Bhargava. According to industry reports, the company’s strategy will rely solely on an end-to-end neural network. This method will create a structure similar to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving approach by providing training through a world model created with simulation technology.
