The new Tesla Model Y L has been launched in China

Tesla has introduced the new Model Y L in China. The model, which stands out with its three rows of seats, a 16-inch touchscreen, increased cargo space, and a range of 751 km, will be on the roads in September.
Tesla officially launched the Model Y L in China today. With a starting price of $47,120, the Model Y L is positioned as a large, six-seater electric SUV. The vehicle comes with innovations in its exterior design details and interior equipment. Deliveries of the new model are expected to begin in September.
The Model Y L features some subtle changes compared to the standard Model Y. The roofline has been redesigned, and the rear spoiler has been revised for a more dynamic look. As a result of these aerodynamic improvements, the drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.216.

The Model Y L measures 4976 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 1668 mm in height. The wheelbase is 3040 mm. For comparison, it has a body that is approximately 18 cm longer and a wheelbase that is 15 cm longer than the five-seater standard model. The trunk capacity of the Model Y L can be expanded to a maximum of 2539 liters when the second and third-row seats are folded.
Inside, there is a new 16-inch central touchscreen. The front wireless charging pad now supports 50W and 30W fast charging simultaneously. The sound system has also been enhanced with a new speaker in the center console and two additional speakers in the ceiling. The updated audio system features 18 speakers and a subwoofer.
The second and third-row seats of the Model Y L can be folded independently and are electronically controlled. The second-row seats feature electric armrests. The front two rows of seats have a ventilation feature, while all seats have a heating feature. Additionally, all seats in the second and third rows are equipped with charging ports.
On the performance side, the vehicle comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The front motor produces 142 kW (190 hp), and the rear motor produces 198 kW (266 hp). The electric SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Equipped with an 82 kWh NMC battery from LG Energy Solutions, the Model Y L offers a range of 751 km according to CLTC measurements. The energy consumption is stated as 12.8 kWh per 100 km.
