Vision Pro 2 Rumored to Come With Apple’s Powerful M5 Chip

Apple’s new-generation mixed-reality headset, the Vision Pro 2, is expected to feature a significant performance upgrade. According to code found in Apple’s software, the device will swap the current M2 processor for a much faster and more efficient M5 chip. The Vision Pro 2 is anticipated to be released in late 2025.

Same Design, Different Power

There are no major changes expected to the external design of the new Vision Pro. Apple is reportedly focusing on hardware power for this year’s update, with the only potential ergonomic innovation being a new headband for enhanced comfort during extended use.

The M5 chip is projected to provide a notable boost in both processing and graphics performance, thanks to its advanced manufacturing process. This improved efficiency will allow for longer battery life and less overheating during intensive use, resulting in a smoother experience in scenarios that require high processing power, such as multitasking and 3D rendering.

While the Apple Vision Pro 2 may not offer a radical design change, its powerful hardware, matured software, and balanced user experience could make it an attractive option for first-time buyers. Pricing details, however, have not yet been announced.
