OpenAI has reached a valuation of $300 billion.

OpenAI‘s investment rounds continue to attract significant interest. Each round exceeds the expected demand level, and applications close very early.
Last year, OpenAI incurred losses of $5 billion, and despite being considered impossible to turn a profit for a long time, the company continues to receive massive investments. Investors are flocking to every investment round of the company.

OpenAI is seeking investments again. According to a statement by OpenAI, on August 1, 2025, the firm successfully completed a new financing round of $8.3 billion. With this investment, the company’s current valuation has reached $300 billion. This round, led by SoftBank, saw Dragoneer Investment Group alone invest $2.8 billion. Additionally, investors such as Blackstone, T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, TPG, and Coatue also provided support, with the round closing early due due to overwhelming demand, far exceeding its target. OpenAI aims for a total investment of $40 billion by the end of the year.
All these developments are moving OpenAI towards an initial public offering (IPO), and the collected investments will provide great support on this path. The company aims to be the leading AI firm in both the end-user and corporate sectors.
