Gemini Can Now Do Tasks on Your Behalf: The New “Scheduled Actions” Feature

Thanks to the newly added “Scheduled Actions” feature in Gemini, you can now assign specific tasks to the assistant to be performed at scheduled intervals.

Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, can now keep track of your planned tasks for you. With this new feature, it is now possible to have Gemini complete certain tasks at specific times.

For example, Gemini can summarize your emails and calendar every morning, suggest new blog post ideas every Monday, or regularly share match results of your favorite team. It can even remind you of loyalty program details exactly when needed.

Who Can Use the “Scheduled Actions” Feature?

A new “Scheduled Actions” page has been added to the app, making it easy to set up and manage these tasks. However, it’s worth noting that this feature is only available to users with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, and those who use compatible Google Workspace business or education plans. So, it’s not open to everyone.

In summary, Gemini is no longer just an assistant that answers your questions—it’s becoming a task-managing AI assistant. Just as OpenAI is evolving ChatGPT with Operator, Google is advancing Gemini to keep up in this transformation.
