As one of the leading names in the AI industry, ElevenLabs held an event last night where it introduced its voice assistant named “Conversational AI 2.0”. Primarily designed for corporate call centers, Conversational AI 2.0 aims to provide customer support with more natural, smarter, and more accurate communication. The AI can now detect when to speak and when to pause, adapting its behavior accordingly — and it does this in real-time.

Eliminating Language Barriers

Previously, the Conversational AI needed to be pre-configured for specific languages. With Conversational AI 2.0, that’s no longer necessary. The AI can now automatically detect the speaker’s language and respond appropriately.

Additionally, the new model supports a technology called “Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)”, allowing the AI to connect to an external database in real-time, retrieve information, and convey it during the conversation. This enables complex discussions to be handled much faster.

Multi-Modal Communication

Another highlight feature of the new version is its ability to function using voice, text, or a combination of both. This flexibility is advantageous for businesses, as they no longer need separate assistants for voice and text. Conversational AI 2.0 can handle them simultaneously, offering a seamless user experience.

Subscription Plans

Conversational AI 2.0 is available through ElevenLabs’ subscription packages. There is a free plan that offers 15 minutes of usage per month. The highest-tier plan is priced at $1,320 per month, which includes 13,750 minutes without additional charges and supports up to 30 concurrent assistant sessions.
