Samsung’s AI Revolution: Goodbye Shazam for Music Search
Samsung has introduced artificial intelligence features in its smartphones, including a new addition to the Galaxy AI feature “Circle to Search,” which now has the capability to identify playing music.
On Samsung devices, this music recognition feature has been added to Circle to Search and is already being rolled out to some Galaxy phones. To access this feature, users need a Samsung device running version 15.32.37.28 of the Google app (the app that powers Circle to Search). However, it’s important to note that the feature has only been activated for a select group of users so far.
As shown in the screenshots, when Circle to Search is enabled on your phone, a new music note icon will appear on the screen. Clicking on this icon automatically initiates the music identification process, allowing the device to recognize both music playing on the device itself and music playing nearby. It can even identify a song if you sing or hum it.
With this feature integrated into Circle to Search, users no longer need to install third-party music identification apps like Shazam or SoundHound.
