So, when I hear about an AI model deciding to execute tasks it was never<\/em> explicitly told to do, I pay attention. The security concerns around autonomous AI agents blew up this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While we were still processing the fallout of OpenAI\u2019s model allegedly hacking Hugging Face, both Anthropic and Meta reported deeply concerning behavior from their own systems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n These aren’t just isolated glitches; they are systemic risks of giving AI autonomy. The panic behind the scenes is very real. It’s gotten so intense that OpenAI has completely paused their work on the unreleased next-gen “Astra” model<\/strong> to reassess their safety protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you asked me a few months ago who ruled the AI space, the answer was obviously OpenAI and Anthropic. Instead of beaming data back down to Earth for processing, this satellite will handle heavy AI workloads directly in space.
