However, Zuckerberg stated that he envisions a future where Meta Pay will act as a universal wallet for all the digital items you buy or create in the metaverse world .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking in his blog post, Mark Zuckerberg said, \u201cProof of ownership will be important, especially if you want to take some of these items with you on different services. Ideally, you should be able to log into any metaverse experience and everything you buy should be right there,\u201d he said, giving the first signals of wanting to be a metaverse<\/a><\/em><\/strong> wallet .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, Zuckerberg stated that he hopes Meta Pay will become the de facto wallet of the metaverse world. He acknowledged that the kind of interoperability he described was a long way off, but he did not neglect to argue that it would \u201cprovide much better experiences for people and greater opportunities for creators .\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needless to say, Meta will almost certainly be the biggest beneficiary of the ecosystem that Zuckerberg describes. The company recently confirmed that it has taken a cut of approximately 48 percent from digital asset sales at Horizon Worlds . A wallet app is another way for the company to monetize its metaverse creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
