The huge interest users have shown in image-generating tools like Nano Banana<\/strong> has spurred Meta<\/strong> into action. The company is developing a new generative artificial intelligence<\/strong> codenamed Mango<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, one of the features attracting the most users to AI platforms has been the ability to create various visuals with AI. AIs like ChatGPT<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and Gemini<\/a><\/em><\/strong> gained users rapidly after acquiring more advanced image generation models<\/strong>. The latest example of this was Google’s Nano Banana<\/strong> model. Drawing attention with its image creation capability, Nano Banana attracted a large number of users to Gemini. This situation seems to have caught Meta<\/strong>‘s attention, as they are now working on a similar project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to information shared with the Wall Street Journal<\/strong> by people present at this presentation, Mango will be released in the first half of 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Meta already has a generative AI named Movie Gen<\/strong>, Mango is thought to have much more advanced features. While working on the visual-focused Mango model, Meta is also focusing on renewing its large language model<\/strong> family. The company is expected to offer its new large language model (chatbot), codenamed Avocado<\/strong>, to users in the first half of 2026<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
