Midea has unveiled Miro U<\/strong>, its new humanoid robot<\/a><\/em><\/strong> that stands out with a six-armed wheel-leg design<\/strong>. The robot will increase efficiency in industrial automation<\/strong> and reduce cycle times on production lines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midea took a remarkable step in the field of industrial automation<\/strong> by introducing its new generation humanoid robot Miro U<\/strong> at an event held in China. The company emphasizes that this model, developed entirely by its in-house engineering team<\/strong>, adopts a six-armed wheel-leg hybrid design<\/strong> for the first time in the world. Designed to handle complex workflows<\/strong>, Miro U<\/strong> adapts to production processes requiring both high-precision manipulation<\/strong> and rapid positioning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new robot is an advanced version of the previous wheeled humanoid model Midea commissioned at its Jingzhou factory<\/strong> in August. The old model worked alongside autonomous mobile robots<\/strong>, single-armed four-wheeled robots, Kuka robotic<\/a><\/em> systems<\/strong>, and human workers. With the commencement of Miro U<\/strong>, the efficiency level<\/strong> of this ecosystem is expected to increase significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midea’s Vice President and CTO Wei Chang<\/strong> stated that Miro U<\/strong> is the third-generation model<\/strong> of the company’s humanoid robot series. The robot uses six biomechanical arms<\/strong> equipped with vertical lifting<\/strong>, 360-degree rotation capability<\/strong> critical for the production line, and rapidly interchangeable end-effector modules<\/strong> for different operations. Wei underlined that the entire technology stack<\/strong>, from software to mechanics, was developed in-house. The company plans to deploy Miro U<\/strong> at its high-end washing machine factory in Wuxi<\/strong> by the end of 2025<\/strong>. The company says Mila models<\/strong> will be used in physical experience stores for tasks such as customer guidance<\/strong> and interactive product demonstration<\/strong> by 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
