In Norway<\/strong>, where 19,899 new cars were sold in November, only 472 cars were sold excluding electric ones. Tesla<\/strong> played a significant role in this rise with a 31.2 percent market share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

November was one of the strongest months ever for car sales<\/strong> in Norway. A total of 19,899 cars were sold last month, and electric vehicles<\/a><\/em><\/strong> accounted for 97.6 percent of total sales with 19,427 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selling more than 19,000 electric cars in a month is not quite normal for Norway. It means a huge increase of around 8,500 units compared to both the same month of 2024 and the previous month of this year. This rise is attributed to several factors. Expected tax changes<\/strong> in 2026 and attractive discounts<\/strong> are at the forefront of these factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although many brands showed growth in November, Tesla<\/a><\/em><\/strong> stands out in particular. The company reached a 31.2 percent market share<\/strong> with sales of 6,215 units. One in every three cars sold was a Tesla. The US manufacturer has already surpassed its own annual record in 2023 (26,641 vehicles) with sales of 28,606 units so far in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its December performance, Tesla is expected to exceed the 30,000 threshold. Volkswagen<\/strong>, Volvo<\/strong>, and BMW<\/strong>, which showed strong growth compared to the same month last year, follow Tesla in the brand ranking. Although Chinese brands<\/strong> such as BYD<\/strong>, MG<\/strong>, and XPeng<\/strong> did not dominate the peak of November, it is stated that they showed a significant rise throughout 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When looking at a model basis, Tesla Model Y<\/strong> is in the leading position. The vehicle, which sold 3,648 units in November, is closely followed by the Model 3<\/strong> with sales of 2,562 units. Further down the list are the Volvo EX40<\/strong> with 916 units, Volkswagen ID.4<\/strong> with 892 units, Volkswagen ID.7<\/strong> with 780 units, and Volvo EX30<\/strong> with 774 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
