Cyberpunk 2077 sales<\/strong> have surpassed 35 million. CD Projekt RED<\/strong> announced that 447 developers<\/strong> are working on The Witcher 4<\/strong>, while 135 are working on the Cyberpunk sequel, Project Orion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CD Projekt RED<\/strong>‘s third quarter 2025 financial report<\/strong> revealed important data regarding both the studio’s past and future projects. According to the report, despite the five years that have passed and a stormy launch process<\/strong>, Cyberpunk 2077 has succeeded in becoming one of the strongest productions in the company’s history by surpassing the 35 million sales mark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its release in December 2020, comprehensive patches<\/strong> and the 2.0 update<\/strong> have radically improved the production’s performance, especially in the last three years. The company had announced a sales figure<\/strong> of 30 million for Cyberpunk 2077 last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latest Status for The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2<\/strong> On the other hand, CD Projekt<\/strong> has significantly increased its focus on new games. The company’s current main focus continues to be The Witcher 4<\/strong>, which marks the return of the legendary series. According to the report, 447 developers<\/strong> are currently actively working on this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the team is also growing for the sequel, codenamed “Project Orion<\/strong>” and increasingly referred to as “Cyberpunk 2<\/strong>” within the company. 135 developers<\/strong>, distributed across the studio\u2019s Vancouver<\/strong>, Warsaw<\/strong>, and specifically the Boston<\/strong> offices established for this project, are working on the future of the Cyberpunk universe<\/strong>. Following the release of The Witcher 4<\/strong>, a large portion of the company’s focus and workforce<\/strong> is expected to shift to Cyberpunk 2<\/strong>. Meanwhile, the team on the motion capture<\/strong> side is also expanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his statement, CD Projekt RED Co-CEO Michal Nowakowski<\/strong> said, “We are very happy and pleased that Cyberpunk 2077<\/a><\/em><\/strong> continues to be a game that performs so well despite the passage of time and continues to attract new players.
