Nvidia, which is largely losing the competition in China, is uncomfortable with the process. Stating that the embargoes have not hindered China but rather spurred it on, Nvidia called upon the US government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the heavy embargoes imposed by the US on China\u2014which it aims to curb in the artificial intelligence race\u2014China is far from retreating; on the contrary, it is on the verge of overtaking the US. Nvidia, having suffered significant revenue loss in China due to the embargoes, believes something is going wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang argued that China is advancing at an incredible speed in the field of artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong>, that the restrictions<\/strong> are weakening US competitiveness, and that they are pushing China to develop its own chip technology<\/strong> faster. Huang noted that China is only nanoseconds<\/strong> behind America, stressing that the global gap is rapidly closing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Nvidia CEO, China’s state-backed energy subsidies<\/strong>, semiconductor investments<\/strong>, and intense incentives<\/strong> for AI research are enabling local companies to advance very quickly. Beijing’s goal of self-sufficiency<\/strong> in AI is making the country a rival to the US in terms of both scale and vision. Huang emphasized that even if China faces technological hurdles, its developer community and government policies are entirely aligned towards the same national goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Huang’s statements, Nvidia<\/a><\/em><\/strong> shares experienced a brief drop. Nvidia, with a market value of approximately $4.7 trillion<\/strong>, remains the world’s most valuable company<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
