Gemini<\/strong> is now capable of performing research and processing, even on your private data<\/strong>, through its Deep Research<\/strong> mode (known in some regions). Google<\/strong> announced a significant update for its AI-powered assistant, Gemini’s Deep Research<\/strong> feature. Users can now conduct “deep research” across their emails, Drive documents, and chat history<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google<\/strong> states that this feature transforms Gemini<\/a><\/em><\/strong> into a “research assistant<\/strong>” that can create multi-step research plans<\/strong> and generate comprehensive reports<\/strong>, rather than just answering questions. Users can further refine the generated reports with additional information or convert them into Google Docs<\/strong> or an AI-generated podcast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep Research<\/strong> now also works directly integrated with Workspace<\/strong> products. Furthermore, comprehensive reports<\/strong> on competitor products<\/strong> can be generated, blending both public data<\/strong> and internal team files and chats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature is currently available only on desktop<\/strong> but will be rolled out to mobile devices<\/strong> soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
