Google Translate<\/strong> has started offering a Gemini<\/a><\/em>-powered<\/strong> option for better translation. Users will now be able to select “Enhanced<\/strong>” and “Fast<\/strong>” translation options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the AI-powered live translation<\/strong> and language practice<\/strong> features, Google Translate has started offering a Gemini-powered<\/strong> option for better translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offering Enhanced and Fast Translation Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Users can now select the “Enhanced<\/strong>” or “Fast<\/strong>” translation options from the selector located right below the “Google Translate<\/strong>” logo at the top of the application. The Enhanced<\/strong> option, which is selected by default, offers higher accuracy<\/strong> for complex translations, while the Fast<\/strong> option will provide a quicker translation<\/strong>, as before. Google notes that the enhanced model is only supported for certain languages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not yet known whether this feature is free<\/strong> or paid<\/strong>. There is no indication on the interface that it is paid. Still, like other model selectors, it might be tied to a Google<\/a><\/em> AI Pro subscription<\/strong>. Currently, this feature has started appearing on some iOS devices<\/strong>, but it is not yet active in the Android<\/strong> version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google had announced in August that Gemini models<\/strong> in Translate made significant improvements in translation quality<\/strong>, multimodal translation<\/strong>, and Text-to-Speech (TTS)<\/strong> capabilities. Furthermore, at the end of September, it added Control Center widgets<\/strong> for Camera, Text Translation, Dictation, and Conversation modes to Google Translate for iOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
