Europe’s inaugural metaverse-themed exchange-traded fund (ETF)<\/strong>, the ETC Group Global Metaverse UCITS ETF (METR)<\/strong>, made its debut on the London Stock Exchange<\/strong> and is now available for purchase across Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ETF<\/strong> is designed to track the Solactive ETC Group Global Metaverse<\/a><\/em> Index<\/strong>, providing investors<\/strong> with the opportunity to invest in 51 companies<\/strong> actively participating in the metaverse industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The companies covered by the index<\/strong> operate in various metaverse sectors<\/strong>, including VR\/AR<\/strong>, 3D graphics<\/strong>, wireless communications<\/strong>, online gaming<\/strong>, video streaming<\/strong>, blockchain technologies<\/strong> such as NFTs<\/strong>, and related cloud and data storage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

METR<\/strong> represents the second thematic ETF<\/strong> collaboration between ETC Group<\/strong>, a developer of digital asset-backed securities, and HANetf<\/strong>, an independent UCITS ETF<\/strong> provider.
