China is steadily advancing towards its goal of landing astronauts on the Moon<\/strong> by 2030<\/strong>. The country is pushing forward with its lunar program<\/strong> while also preparing for a new crew mission to the Tiangong Space Station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China continues its preparations for a crewed lunar mission<\/strong> by 2030, in line with its goal of becoming a leader in space exploration<\/strong>. Zhang Jingbo, spokesperson for the country\u2019s crewed space program<\/strong>, stated that the work is progressing as planned, saying, “Currently, every research and development activity related to the crewed lunar program<\/strong> is proceeding smoothly. China’s goal of sending humans to the Moon by 2030<\/strong> is definitive.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zhang also emphasized that significant progress has been made on essential components such as the development of the Long March 10 rocket<\/strong>, lunar landing suits<\/strong>, and the rover<\/strong>. These vehicles are stated to be central to the technological infrastructure that will enable China to send astronauts<\/strong> to the lunar surface<\/strong> for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside its preparations for the Moon mission<\/strong>, China is also continuing its work on the Tiangong Space Station<\/strong>. The project, initiated after the US excluded China from the International Space Station (ISS)<\/strong> due to security concerns, is one of the most concrete examples of China’s effort to establish its own independent research platform. A new crew will also be sent to this station on Friday. The astronauts<\/strong> will stay at the station for approximately six months during their mission and will conduct various scientific experiments<\/strong>. As part of the mission, the crew will also take two female and two male mice with them. This experiment will investigate the biological effects of the weightless environment<\/strong> and closed living conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
