Volvo<\/strong> is offering free home charging<\/strong> for one year to electric vehicle (EV) owners<\/strong> as part of a campaign launched in Sweden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volvo<\/strong> has launched a notable campaign to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles<\/strong>. The initiative, which will take effect in Sweden<\/strong>, will grant new Volvo<\/a><\/em> EV<\/strong> owners the right to free home charging<\/strong> for a period of one year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign is being implemented in collaboration with the energy company Vattenfall<\/strong>. Thanks to the “smart charging<\/strong>” feature in the Volvo Cars app<\/strong>, vehicles will automatically charge during low-carbon<\/strong> and low-cost hours<\/strong>. An energy capacity of 5,150 kWh<\/strong>, equivalent to an annual distance of 25,000 km<\/strong>, will be provided as free charging<\/strong> under this campaign. Although currently valid only in Sweden<\/strong>, the application may spread to other European countries in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volvo<\/strong> views this move not just as a marketing strategy but also as part of its plan to reduce carbon emissions<\/strong> and ensure energy savings<\/strong>. Providing energy to homes with V2X-supported vehicles<\/strong> is also among their future plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
