Italian startup GEVI Wind<\/strong> is ushering in a new era in wind energy with its AI-powered vertical micro-turbines<\/strong>. The system increases energy efficiency by 60%<\/strong> with its self-adjusting blades<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian startup GEVI Wind<\/strong> has developed a new generation vertical micro wind turbine<\/strong> with AI-controlled, self-adjusting blades<\/strong>. The company announced that the system increases the annual energy yield by 60 percent<\/strong> compared to existing vertical-axis turbines and operates more reliably in all weather conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup received $3.1 million in seed funding<\/strong> to accelerate the mass production of this technology. The aim of the fund is to support GEVI Wind’s transition from the prototype phase to industrial production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new turbine, which is approximately 3 meters (9.8 feet) high<\/strong> with a 5.4-meter (17.7-foot) rotor diameter<\/strong>, offers a suitable solution for rooftops, industrial areas, and local micro-grids<\/strong> with its compact structure<\/strong>. The most notable feature of the system is its ability to adapt to wind conditions in real-time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The special AI control system<\/strong> developed by GEVI Wind<\/strong> readjusts the angle of the turbine blades every few milliseconds. This allows the system to instantaneously process data such as wind direction, speed, turbulence, and aerodynamic interaction between the blades<\/strong> to optimize energy production<\/strong>. At the same time, it can self-protect<\/strong> by reducing mechanical stress by up to 80%<\/strong> during extreme wind conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The turbine can generate energy even at low wind speeds<\/strong> of 2.5 meters per second (5.6 mph)<\/strong> and offers a nominal power output between 3 and 5 kW<\/strong>. This makes it ideal for urban and semi-rural areas<\/strong>. Moreover, the system operates at a sound level of only 38 decibels<\/strong> at a distance of 10 meters, which is like a whisper. This makes it suitable for use in residential areas<\/strong>. Furthermore, heavy vehicles such as cranes are not required for its installation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
