According to a recent report by the research firm K33<\/strong>, Bitcoin’s familiar 4-year cycle<\/strong> is now a thing of the past. The research and brokerage firm K33<\/strong> announced that Bitcoin is no longer following its classic 4-year “halving” cycle<\/strong>. According to the firm’s October report, institutional adoption<\/strong>, government involvement, and changes in macro policies<\/strong> have invalidated the old rulebook. K33 Head of Research, Vetle Lunde<\/strong>, declared, “The 4-year cycle is dead, long live the new king!”<\/strong> stating that Bitcoin has entered a fundamentally new era driven by structural forces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, Bitcoin broke its all-time record<\/strong> against the US dollar and the euro. Despite record ETF inflows<\/strong> and high-leverage trading, the market appears structurally sound, according to K33’s “excessive froth” indicators. While Lunde anticipates a short-term correction, he does not foresee a structural decline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report highlighted that the rally in 2025 is based on institutional acceptance<\/strong>\u2014a reality now, not a dream\u2014unlike the speculative peaks of 2017 and 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report emphasized that this reality is supported by BlackRock’s<\/strong> Bitcoin ETF holdings exceeding $100 billion<\/strong>, Morgan Stanley’s<\/strong> crypto advice to clients, and favorable regulations in Washington. Lunde commented, “The future is expected to bring ample liquidity<\/strong> and falling interest rates<\/strong>, not restrictive saving. This environment is a clear positive for scarce assets like Bitcoin<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
