The dream of a flying car<\/strong> continues to be one of the most exciting topics in the world of aviation. A significant step toward this dream came with Midnight<\/strong>, an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL)<\/strong> aircraft developed by Archer Aviation<\/strong>. This vehicle, also called a “flying taxi<\/strong>,” recently set a record for its highest flight to date, reaching an altitude of 7,000 feet<\/strong>, or approximately 2,100 meters<\/strong>, in a test flight. This achievement has been recorded as an important development that sheds light on the future of air travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

eVTOLs are generally designed to be used at lower altitudes, such as 1,500 to 4,000 feet<\/strong>, in dense urban centers. However, Midnight’s ability to climb to 7,000 feet<\/strong> opens many new doors for the aviation sector. According to company officials, this capability will allow the aircraft to fly more efficiently by bypassing challenging and costly routes in cities with tall skyscrapers. In its previous longest flight, it completed 86 kilometers in 31 minutes<\/strong>, proving how efficient a vehicle it is. Archer Aviation stated that Midnight has exceeded 241 km\/h<\/strong> in earlier tests, managing to reduce journeys that would take hours by road to mere minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Goldstein<\/strong>, founder and CEO of Archer Aviation, described this achievement as “another significant step toward commercialization<\/strong>.” The company is meticulously continuing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification<\/strong> process to legally operate Midnight in US airspace.
