The new timeline for Project Moohan<\/strong>, Samsung’s first Android XR headset<\/strong> developed in partnership with Google<\/strong> and Qualcomm<\/strong>, has been revealed. The launch of the device, which was previously rumored to be introduced on September 29th, has reportedly been postponed to October 22nd<\/strong>, according to new reports. Pre-registrations<\/strong> are set to begin very soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to ChosunBiz, pre-registrations for Project Moohan<\/strong> will start on October 15th<\/strong> and continue until October 21st<\/strong>. Following this, the Project Moohan XR<\/strong> is expected to be released on October 22nd<\/strong>. The XR headset is initially planned to be sold only in South Korea<\/strong> and will gradually meet users in different markets later on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who missed it, Project Moohan<\/strong> runs on the Android XR<\/strong> operating system and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2<\/strong> chip. The device features 16 GB of RAM<\/strong>, WiFi 7<\/strong>, Bluetooth 5.4<\/strong>, and dual OLEDoS displays<\/strong> with a high refresh rate. It also has a multi-camera system<\/strong> for eye and hand tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the price, the device is expected to be sold in South Korea for between 2.5 million and 4 million won<\/strong>. This corresponds to a range of approximately $1785-$2855<\/strong>. Furthermore, compared to the $3499<\/strong> price of the Apple Vision Pro<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Samsung will keep its product at a more accessible level. Samsung is reportedly planning a shipment of 100,000 units<\/strong> for Project Moohan<\/strong> within 2025<\/strong>, but this figure may be revised depending on demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
