This means the popular SUV can now transform into a portable power source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tesla<\/strong> has confirmed the activation of the <strong>Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)<\/strong> feature in the new <strong>Model Y Performance<\/strong> version. This capability, previously exclusive to the <strong>Cybertruck<\/strong> within the <strong>Tesla<\/strong> family, is now being offered to <strong>Model Y Performance<\/strong> users. This move signals that the <strong>V2L<\/strong> feature may eventually spread to other <strong>Tesla models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While <strong>Tesla<\/strong> vehicles have had the hardware for <strong>bi-directional charging<\/strong> for some time, the company officially offered the feature only on the <strong>Cybertruck<\/strong>. This changes with the new <strong>Model Y Performance<\/strong>. This feature has been available for a long time in many models, such as the Hyundai <strong>IONIQ 5<\/strong> and Kia <strong>EV6<\/strong>. Until now, <strong>Tesla<\/strong> offered this technology exclusively on the <strong>Cybertruck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the <strong>Model Y Performance<\/strong> now offers <strong>V2L<\/strong> support, <strong>Tesla<\/strong> emphasizes that the most advanced <strong>bi-directional charging<\/strong> technology is still found in the <strong>Cybertruck<\/strong>.
