Volvo has completely refreshed the 2026 EX90<\/strong>, raising the bar in its class with an 800V electric system<\/strong>, the ability to charge 250 km in 10 minutes, intelligent safety equipment<\/strong>, and advanced software power<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volvo has comprehensively updated the EX90<\/strong> for the 2026 model year<\/strong>. The brand’s three-row electric SUV<\/strong> now features an all-new 800V electric architecture<\/strong>. This system replaces the existing 400V infrastructure, offering significant advantages in both speed and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Volvo’s statement, new battery management software<\/strong> works intelligently with the 800V system<\/strong> using an algorithm to optimize charging. As a result, a 350 kW DC fast charger<\/strong> can add 250 kilometers of range<\/strong> in just 10 minutes<\/strong>. The improvements aren’t limited to charging speed; Volvo notes that the new system offers stronger acceleration, increased efficiency, and a lighter motor and battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Volvo EX90<\/strong> also features a new electrochromic panoramic glass roof<\/strong>. This technology, borrowed from the ES90, allows the glass to be dimmed with a single touch. The vehicle also includes many new features that enhance driving safety. Among these, the highlights are the connected safety system<\/strong> which sends warnings for slippery roads, road hazards, and crashes, the Emergency Stop Assist<\/strong> which safely stops the vehicle if the driver fails to react, and the automatic emergency steering system<\/strong>, which now works in the dark. Parallel parking<\/strong> has also been added to the Park Pilot Assist<\/strong> feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new EX90<\/strong> has been strengthened not only on the hardware side but also in terms of software<\/strong>. The dual NVIDIA<\/a><\/em> DRIVE AGX Orin<\/strong>-based core computers in the vehicle can perform 500 trillion operations per second (500 TOPS)<\/strong>. Owners of the 2025 EX90<\/strong> model will also be able to benefit from this upgrade; all they have to do is visit a Volvo dealership for a software update<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
