One of these investments, <strong>Meta Horizon Studio<\/strong>, stands out as an editor enabling <strong>content creators<\/strong> to build virtual worlds. Currently, creators can use <strong>generative AI tools<\/strong> to produce elements like texture and sound design on the platform. Later in the year, an <strong>AI assistant<\/strong> integrated into the editor will guide developers when designing new worlds and editing the features of <strong>AI-powered NPCs<\/strong> (Non-Player Characters). It&#8217;s worth noting that <strong>AI NPCs<\/strong> were added to the platform last August. A demonstration during Connect 2025 showed a developer requesting changes like a new environment and NPC behaviors via an <strong>AI chatbot<\/strong>, indicating that the extra features are actively working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Graphics Are Improving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" autoplay controls muted poster=\"https:\/\/metaverseplanet.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/indir-32.webp\" src=\"https:\/\/metaverseplanet.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/7c4c6313-9ba3-4596-8b74-069f8d18eb8f_fhd.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Horizon Engine<\/strong>, which powers the new metaverse environments, is expected to offer better graphics, faster performance, and more advanced VR worlds, according to Meta. It also stands out with its high concurrency capacity, allowing more users to interact simultaneously. It can now support over <strong>100 people<\/strong> in a single space\u2014five times more than the previous engine could handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While <strong>Horizon Worlds<\/strong> has expanded from VR to mobile platforms, it is struggling to see this expansion reflected in its user base. Meta also launched a <strong>$50 million fund<\/strong> earlier this year to encourage metaverse <strong>content production<\/strong>. The company&#8217;s goal is to ensure more creators contribute to the metaverse ecosystem, thereby growing the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They haven&#8217;t succeeded yet, but investments continue. As mentioned, the company&#8217;s metaverse vision is progressing within the <strong>Reality Labs<\/strong> unit. This unit also includes <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/metaverseplanet.net\/blog\/tag\/smart-glasses\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"227\">smart glasses<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and <strong>VR\/AR headsets<\/strong>. It&#8217;s a known fact that the company is satisfied with these two products. However, the <strong>Reality Labs<\/strong> unit has never generated a profit since the last quarter of 2020.
