This feature allows users to organize conversations into folders, offering file uploads and personalization options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously exclusive to paid subscribers, the &#8220;Projects&#8221; feature is now accessible on the free version of ChatGPT. Additionally, OpenAI has updated the file upload limits for this feature: <strong>free users<\/strong> can add up to 5 files, <strong>Plus subscribers<\/strong> can add 25 files, and <strong>Pro subscribers<\/strong> can add 40 files. All users can also <strong>personalize their projects<\/strong> with custom colors and icons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OpenAI has consistently followed a strategy of gradually opening up many of its premium features to free users. Previously, tools like <strong>ChatGPT Voice<\/strong> and <strong>Deep Research<\/strong> were first offered to subscribers and then made available to all users. However, free access often comes with some limitations. For example, although the <strong>GPT-5 model<\/strong> was shared with all users at the same time, free users have a more limited daily usage quota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Projects&#8221; feature is currently available on the <strong>web<\/strong> and the <strong>Android app<\/strong>.
