The AirPods Pro 3<\/strong> is expected to be unveiled in September<\/strong>. The new AirPods Pro<\/strong> model appears set to arrive with new features like heart rate monitoring<\/strong>, as well as changes to its charging case<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple<\/strong> has not updated the AirPods Pro<\/strong> since 2022. The AirPods Pro 3<\/strong> is rumored to be introduced in September<\/strong>, and a few design changes are expected alongside new features like heart rate tracking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smaller Charging Case<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apple<\/strong> reduced the size of the charging case with the AirPods 4<\/strong> model. With this change, MagSafe charging<\/strong> was removed. Although the earphones support Qi-based wireless charging, they do not contain magnets. The more affordable model, which lacks ANC<\/strong>, does not have wireless charging. The AirPods Pro 3<\/strong> will have MagSafe charging<\/strong>; Apple<\/strong> is not expected to remove this feature. Similar to the current \u200cAirPods Pro<\/strong>, it will have speakers for Find My alerts. However, the new AirPods Pro<\/strong> is expected to have a smaller charging case<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Pairing Button<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The AirPods 4<\/strong> does not feature the pairing button<\/strong> on the back of the charging case, which was present on previous models, including the AirPods Pro 2<\/strong>. Instead, Apple<\/a><\/em><\/strong> has placed a hidden capacitive button on the front of the case, just below the status light. To initiate manual pairing, users simply need to open the case and double-tap the front-center area. The same hidden control is used for the reset procedure, which is initiated by quickly double-tapping the case three times while the status light is on. The same is expected for the AirPods Pro 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidden Status Light<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The status light on the \u200cAirPods 4\u200c<\/strong> charging case is more concealed compared to the AirPods Pro 2<\/strong>. No distinct LED light is visible when the case is not charging or is closed; the light appears from under the white plastic when the case is opened or placed on a charger. It is likely that the AirPods Pro 3<\/strong> case will have a similarly hidden status light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Design<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the AirPods 4<\/strong>, Apple<\/strong> introduced a new earbud design that more closely resembles the AirPods Pro<\/strong>, with shorter stems and more contoured earpieces for a better fit. However, they do not have silicone ear tips like the AirPods Pro<\/strong>. The AirPods Pro 3<\/strong> may also come with a refreshed design<\/strong>, but what it will look like remains a secret for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Features Coming to AirPods Pro with iOS 26<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The iOS 26<\/strong> update, which will be released during the iPhone 17<\/strong> launch event, will bring many new features to the AirPods Pro<\/strong> models. These include automatically pausing audio during sleep, using AirPods<\/strong> as a camera remote, an option to keep audio on the AirPods<\/strong> when the \u200ciPhone<\/strong> is connected to other playback devices, and improved call quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The iPhone 17 event<\/strong>, where Apple<\/strong> is also expected to announce significant AirPods<\/strong> updates, is anticipated to take place on Tuesday, September 9th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
