However, the company had postponed the flight due to a technical issue with the ground systems. This 10th test flight is considered a critical stage for SpaceX, as previous tests earlier this year, particularly the 7th, 8th, and 9th flights, experienced serious malfunctions, and an upper-stage Starship vehicle exploded during a ground test in June.

If it proceeds as planned, the 10th flight is intended to carry and deploy eight dummy Starlink satellites with the upper-stage Starship. Additionally, a single Raptor engine is planned to be re-ignited while in space. Different experiments will also be conducted during re-entry. The lower-stage Super Heavy will perform a series of experimental maneuvers after liftoff. Multiple landing burns will be attempted, and different engine configurations will be tested. However, neither stage will return directly; the Super Heavy is planned to make a controlled landing in the Gulf of Mexico, while the upper stage is planned to land in the Indian Ocean.

You Might Also Like;

SpaceX has delayed the Starship‘s 10th test flight due to unfavorable weather conditions.
