Huawei’s cheapest car, the Shangjie H5<\/strong>, has launched for pre-sale in China. The model, jointly developed by Huawei<\/strong> and SAIC<\/strong>, is planned to be released on September 23rd and offers both electric<\/strong> and EREV<\/strong> (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle) options, with prices starting from $23,600<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shangjie H5<\/strong>, jointly developed by Huawei<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and SAIC<\/strong>, was introduced and launched for pre-sale at the HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility Autumn New Product Launch<\/strong> event held today. The model, available for purchase with prices starting at approximately $23,600<\/strong>, will officially launch on September 23rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combining Huawei’s<\/strong> intelligent driving technologies with SAIC’s<\/strong> manufacturing experience, the H5<\/strong> is equipped with the brand’s latest intelligent driving assistance system, Huawei ADS 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the exterior design, the closed front grille, commonly seen in new-generation electric models, draws attention, while the current Shangjie<\/strong> logo is featured in the center. The LiDAR<\/strong> system placed on the roof, the illuminated brand logo, and the blue lights indicating intelligent driving also emphasize the design’s character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the interior, a digital instrument panel<\/strong> and a large multimedia screen<\/strong> are prominent, while features such as a three-spoke sporty steering wheel, a wireless charging unit<\/strong>, and a panoramic sunroof<\/strong> stand out. For rear passengers, there is a center armrest and an independent entertainment screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shangjie H5<\/strong> is being launched in two different versions: fully electric<\/strong> and extended-range<\/strong>. The fully electric model<\/strong> offers a range of up to 655 kilometers<\/strong> with an 80 kWh battery pack<\/strong>, achieving a consumption value of 13.4 kWh per 100 kilometers<\/strong>. The extended-range version<\/strong>, on the other hand, provides a pure electric range of 235 kilometers<\/strong> and a total range of up to 1360 kilometers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
