Tesla has introduced the new Model Y L<\/strong> in China. The model, which stands out with its three rows of seats<\/strong>, a 16-inch touchscreen<\/strong>, increased cargo space<\/strong>, and a range of 751 km<\/strong>, will be on the roads in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tesla<\/a><\/em><\/strong> officially launched the Model Y L<\/strong> in China today. With a starting price of $47,120<\/strong>, the Model Y L<\/strong> is positioned as a large, six-seater electric SUV<\/strong>. The vehicle comes with innovations in its exterior design details and interior equipment. Deliveries of the new model are expected to begin in September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Model Y L<\/strong> features some subtle changes compared to the standard Model Y. The roofline has been redesigned, and the rear spoiler has been revised for a more dynamic look. As a result of these aerodynamic improvements, the drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.216<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Model Y L<\/strong> measures 4976 mm in length<\/strong>, 1920 mm in width<\/strong>, and 1668 mm in height<\/strong>. The wheelbase is 3040 mm<\/strong>. For comparison, it has a body that is approximately 18 cm longer<\/strong> and a wheelbase that is 15 cm longer<\/strong> than the five-seater standard model. The trunk capacity of the Model Y L<\/strong> can be expanded to a maximum of 2539 liters<\/strong> when the second and third-row seats are folded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, there is a new 16-inch central touchscreen<\/strong>. The front wireless charging pad now supports 50W and 30W fast charging<\/strong> simultaneously. The sound system has also been enhanced with a new speaker in the center console and two additional speakers in the ceiling. The updated audio system features 18 speakers and a subwoofer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second and third-row seats of the Model Y L<\/strong> can be folded independently and are electronically controlled. The second-row seats feature electric armrests. The front two rows of seats have a ventilation<\/strong> feature, while all seats have a heating<\/strong> feature. Additionally, all seats in the second and third rows are equipped with charging ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the performance side, the vehicle comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system<\/strong>. The front motor produces 142 kW (190 hp)<\/strong>, and the rear motor produces 198 kW (266 hp)<\/strong>. The electric SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km\/h in 4.5 seconds<\/strong>. Equipped with an 82 kWh NMC battery<\/strong> from LG Energy Solutions, the Model Y L<\/strong> offers a range of 751 km<\/strong> according to CLTC measurements. The energy consumption is stated as 12.8 kWh per 100 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
