Chery’s<\/strong> sub-brand Jetour<\/strong> is preparing to unveil its new mid-size SUV, the Shanhai L7 Plus<\/strong>. The model, planned for a debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, will go on pre-sale today, August 18th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Described as a versatile vehicle suitable for family use, the Shanhai L7 Plus<\/strong> will be offered in two different configurations with 5 and 7 seats<\/strong>. The new SUV is expected to be priced under $28,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shanhai L7 Plus<\/strong> reflects the brand’s new design language. The front features a continuous light strip, flanked by distinctive ‘J’-shaped headlights that recall the ‘J’ in the Jetour logo. The lower section includes a wide air intake and vertical air ducts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUV model measures 4810 mm in length, 1930 mm in width, and 1705 mm in height. It offers a 2820 mm wheelbase and will come with 19 or 20-inch wheel options. At the rear, full-width LED taillights resembling a ‘T’ shape pay homage to the ‘T’ in the Jetour logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, a three-spoke steering wheel, a 15.6-inch multimedia screen<\/strong> that can rotate 10 degrees to the left or right, and the Tour OS 3.0 artificial intelligence system<\/strong> are prominent features. Thanks to its built-in large language model, the system can interact via voice commands. The vehicle will also include a 12-speaker audio system. The 7-seat<\/strong> version is equipped with fully electric adjustable seats. These seats can be flattened with a single button to create a “large bed” area approximately 3 meters long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood is a plug-in hybrid<\/strong> system that combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor. The engine produces 154 hp, while the total system output is 265 kW (355 hp)<\/strong> and 530 Nm<\/strong> of torque. The vehicle’s 32.6 kWh<\/strong> battery provides a pure electric range of 167 km<\/strong> according to the CLTC cycle. The average fuel consumption is stated as 5.25 L\/100 km, and the total range<\/strong> can reach up to 1700 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Jetour<\/strong> became China’s eighth-largest automobile exporter. The brand achieved total sales of 568,387 units, of which 179,880 were exported. The Shanhai L7 Plus<\/strong> is expected to contribute to Jetour’s growing influence in both domestic and global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
