Elon Musk’s space company, SpaceX<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, has made a name for itself with its Starlink<\/a><\/em><\/strong> satellite internet service, which provides high-speed internet even to remote areas. However, recent events have revealed a major problem<\/strong> with the Starlink service. The outage began yesterday evening around 9:50 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Down Detector data<\/strong>, a worldwide access issue<\/strong> with Starlink was apparent, with a very large number of users reporting problems. The company also confirmed the issue<\/strong> in a post around 11:00 PM. The problem was resolved after 2.5 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The access problem lasted for a total of about 2.5 hours<\/strong>, continuing until around 12:30 AM Turkish time. An official statement from the company confirming the resolution came early in the morning. Starlink stated that the network issue had been fixed, acknowledging the importance of being connected to the internet and apologizing for the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Starlink executive Michael Nicolls<\/strong> made a post explaining the cause of the issue. Nicolls stated that the problem stemmed from a malfunction in the core internal software services<\/strong> that operate the network and that they had resolved it. He also promised to conduct a more detailed investigation into the root cause of the problem to ensure it doesn’t happen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starlink, currently has over 6,700 satellites<\/strong> in orbit and serves millions of customers worldwide. This is why a large-scale outage can cause significant problems.
