A new study by the Microsoft Research team has identified the profession most threatened by AI, based on the tasks most frequently assigned to artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps not immediately, but in the near future, many of us worry about losing our jobs to AI. A new study reveals which professions are likely to succumb to artificial intelligence first in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft Research conducted an interesting study to better understand how AI is being used in the business world. The team analyzed 200,000 conversations<\/strong> between humans and Copilot, thereby seeking clues as to which professions might be most affected by AI in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the research results, people most frequently ask AI for help with tasks like information gathering<\/strong> and writing<\/strong>. The most common things AI does are providing information, writing, teaching, and consulting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delving deeper into the conversations, the study indicates that translators<\/strong> and interpreters<\/strong> are among the professions that will be most affected. This is because 98% of their work<\/strong> directly overlaps with tasks frequently performed by Copilot. It’s believed that these professions will be handed over to AI in the near future through certain automations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the most long-term sustainable jobs<\/strong> against AI generally involve direct human interaction<\/strong> and physical skills<\/strong>. Professions such as nurses, therapists, truck and lorry drivers<\/strong>, who are in direct contact with machines or people, are safe for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an editor, my personal opinion is that no matter how much AI develops, there will still be a need for talented people in many fields. However, knowing what we are up against through such studies and the time we spend with AI is as important as being prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
