Hyundai<\/strong> is gearing up to introduce a new electric crossover model<\/strong> within the next few months, as part of its plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup<\/strong>. This new model is expected to be the electric alternative<\/strong> to the Bayon<\/strong>. It’s anticipated to be launched<\/strong> in the third quarter of 2026<\/strong>, with a projected price<\/strong> around 30,000 euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming vehicle<\/strong> is said to be based on the same platform<\/strong> as Kia’s soon-to-be-unveiled EV2<\/strong> and will be positioned between the Inster<\/strong> and Kona Electric<\/strong> in Hyundai’s product range. While there’s no official confirmation, there’s a high probability<\/strong> that this model will be the electric Hyundai<\/a><\/em> produced in Turkey<\/strong>, as previous statements indicated that production at the Izmit factory<\/strong> would commence in 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new model<\/strong> is expected to be built on the scalable E-GMP platform<\/strong>, which is used in many electric vehicles across the Hyundai Group<\/strong> (Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis). This could give the vehicle a technical infrastructure similar<\/strong> to the Kia EV3<\/strong>. Like the EV3, the new crossover may offer battery options<\/strong> of 58.3 kWh<\/strong> or 81.4 kWh<\/strong>, providing an estimated range of approximately 430 km<\/strong> and 598 km<\/strong>, respectively.
