Polygon-based NFTs have continued to rise despite a downturn in the overall digital collectibles market, pushing their cumulative sales volume past $2 billion. Unique Polygon-based tokens (NFTs<\/a><\/em><\/strong>) have reached an all-time sales volume of over $2 billion, marking a significant milestone for digital collectibles on the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This achievement comes amid consistent growth in monthly sales over the past few months, highlighting the interest and adoption of Polygon\u2019s NFT ecosystem<\/strong>. According to CryptoSlam<\/strong> data, monthly sales on Polygon have trended upward since November 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting at $16.3 million<\/strong> in November 2024, sales rose to approximately $20 million<\/strong> in December, $25 million<\/strong> in January 2025, and $37 million<\/strong> in February. This momentum continued into the first half of 2025<\/strong>: March saw $62.5 million<\/strong> in sales, April reached $71 million<\/strong>, and May climbed to $74.7 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growth in Polygon\u2019s NFT Sales Is Driven by the RWA Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CryptoSlam data indicate that Polygon\u2019s steady growth throughout 2025<\/strong> is fueled by sales on the Courtyard marketplace<\/strong>, where real-world assets (RWAs)<\/strong> are bought and sold as NFTs. A large portion of the network\u2019s NFT sales volume consists of tokenized RWAs<\/strong> associated with Courtyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marketplace has become Polygon\u2019s second-largest collection after DraftKings<\/strong>, setting a record on the network. Courtyard\u2019s all-time sales volume stands at $277 million<\/strong>, compared to DraftKings\u2019 $287 million<\/strong>. If the RWA sector<\/strong> maintains its momentum, Courtyard could overtake DraftKings next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polygon\u2019s NFT ecosystem<\/strong> growth is not limited to sales volume. Transaction activity and user engagement have also risen significantly throughout 2025<\/strong>. From March to May, monthly NFT transactions on the network exceeded 800,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unique buyer counts remained strong throughout the year, peaking at 134,000<\/strong> in February. Additionally, the average sale price rose from about $26<\/strong> in November and December to nearly $89<\/strong> in May\u2014a 242 percent<\/strong> increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polygon\u2019s NFT growth runs counter to a broader market trend of decline in digital collectibles. After reaching $900 million<\/strong> in total volume in December 2024, monthly NFT sales fell for five consecutive months, hitting a low of $373 million<\/strong> in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
