These robots aim to make entry into the robotics and AI field more accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HopeJR: A Humanoid Robot<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new robot HopeJR<\/strong> is categorized as a humanoid robot<\/strong> and is expected to be priced under $3,000<\/strong>. According to the company, this robot will be available in limited quantities<\/strong> by the end of the year. HopeJR can walk<\/strong>, has functional hands<\/strong>, and can be remotely controlled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reachy Mini: A Desktop Robot<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Reachy Mini<\/strong>, on the other hand, is a desktop robot<\/strong> that will reportedly be sold for around $300<\/strong>. This robot can move its head<\/strong>, speak<\/strong>, and listen<\/strong>. With its cute appearance<\/strong>, it is designed to be used primarily for testing AI applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comparison with Tesla Optimus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Currently, when people hear “humanoid robot,” the first model that comes to mind is Tesla Optimus<\/strong>. Still in the development phase, Optimus has recently been shown in a video performing complex dance movements with ease \u2014 quite impressive for a humanoid robot. Its balance and mobility<\/strong> improve every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Elon Musk<\/strong> responded to a post on X, saying, “Tesla will have internally used Optimus robots in small-scale production next year and mass-produce truly useful Optimus robots for other companies by 2026.”<\/em> Although Musk did not elaborate on what he meant by \u201ctruly useful<\/strong>,\u201d he stated at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the future, people will see their personal Optimus robots as companions. You’ll be able to ask them to walk your dog, take care of your home, babysit your children, cook meals, and even play the piano.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He also mentioned they don\u2019t want the robot to look exactly like a human clone but want it to appear aesthetically pleasing. During Tesla\u2019s quarterly earnings call, Musk added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I believe Optimus will be more valuable than everything else combined.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Tesla later announced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
