While building his team, Trump deliberately selected pro-crypto politicians<\/strong>. Now, the world is eagerly waiting for him to officially assume office on January 20, 2025<\/strong>. Meanwhile, nations are reviewing their cryptocurrency policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Japan<\/strong>, MP Satoshi Hamada<\/strong> proposed the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve<\/strong>, citing plans from the United States<\/strong> and other countries. However, on December 26<\/strong>, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba<\/strong> issued a statement clarifying the government’s stance. According to the Prime Minister<\/strong>, Bitcoin remains outside the regulatory framework for national currency reserves<\/strong> due to its price volatility<\/strong>, which conflicts with Japan’s financial policies<\/strong>. The initiative will be tested in Phuket<\/strong>, one of the country’s leading tourist destinations. According to the Bangkok Post<\/strong>, the project aims to transform Phuket into a digital payments hub<\/strong>, attracting tech-savvy visitors<\/strong> and stimulating the local economy<\/strong>. However, the Bank of Thailand<\/strong> has not yet authorized cryptocurrency payments<\/strong> in the country.
