There is now a Turkish bank in the popular metaverse coin project

Aktif Bank, a privately owned investment bank in Turkey, has officially announced its presence in the metaverse. The bank has acquired a significant area consisting of multiple parcels in Decentraland (MANA), one of the most popular metaverse projects, and has commenced the design of this digital space for its operations.

In alignment with its digital bank, ‘N Kolay,’ which supports customers in various aspects of life, and the Metaverse Your experience platform, Aktif Bank aims to develop projects for its users in the near future. Gamze Numanoğlu, the President of Aktif Bank Customer Experience and Communication Group, expressed satisfaction in being the first and only Turkish bank to engage in the metaverse coin project Decentraland. She stated:

“As a bank, we have taken our first steps. It is crucial for us to be present wherever we can engage with our customers and create enhanced and novel experiences. Leveraging our strength in digitalization, we plan to offer our customers different experiences suited for the metaverse world, pushing the boundaries of creativity. We will be with our users in this world through both our digital bank N Kolay and our Passo application.”

There will be surprise projects on the Metaverse very soon

Gamze Numanoğlu emphasizes that they are careful to design services for the metaverse according to the platform and people’s expectations from that environment, ensuring they align with the DNA of this new universe. She also hints at upcoming surprise projects in the metaverse related to the N Kolay Istanbul Marathon, which Aktif Bank has sponsored for two years.

The metaverse coin project Decentraland (MANA) defines itself as a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum Blockchain, enabling users to create, experience, and monetize content and apps. Within this virtual world, users can acquire plots that they can navigate, build upon, and potentially earn income from.

Decentraland initiated after raising $24 million in an initial cryptocurrency offering (ICO) in 2017. The closed beta for the virtual world was launched in 2019, and it went public in February 2020. Since then, users have been creating a diverse range of experiences within this virtual environment.
