Turkish Airlines unveiled “metaverse Europa League Land” for the first time as part of the THY Europa League Final Four, set to commence tomorrow in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
In an official statement, Turkish Airlines mentioned, “The virtual, multi-user experience allows fans to customize their avatars, dress up as their favorite Final Four team, participate in exciting mini-games to win prizes and exclusive access, chat with other Europa League fans, including live concerts. It provides them access to various special events.”
It was stated that fans can visit “euroleagueland.net” to participate in this experience.
The statement further noted that fans who attend the Final Four matches in person will have the chance to participate in various FanZone area events, including a mini court basketball slam game, a Jump&Dunk contest measuring the longest jump and a chance to win 50,000 ‘Miles&Smiles’ miles, as well as a digital scratch-off game with various coupons.
Turkish Airlines reportedly offers Miles&Smiles members who make a reservation to Belgrade with the ‘Most Valuable Passenger’ campaign the opportunity to earn triple miles.
An award will be given to the player who stays in the air the longest. Turkish Airlines will host its award-winning competition “Flight Time,” launched for the first time in 2019, during the Final Four this year as well.
In addition to the “Flight Time Champion” award, the player who remains in the air for the longest duration in a single leap during the Final Four will receive a mile donation from Miles&Smiles.
Prof. Dr. İlker Aycı, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, expressed their pride in being the title sponsor of the Final Four. Bolat stated, “We are once again proud to be the title sponsor of the prestigious Europa League Final Four. Sports competitions of this magnitude reflect the dedication, camaraderie, and passion necessary for success. It mirrors the spirit and mission of Turkish Airlines to be the leading airline that connects people, countries, and cultures worldwide. We wish the best of luck to all our teams that will embody these values in the coming days and to our fans worldwide for joining us once again. We are very excited.”
Europa League CEO Jordi Bertomeu said:
“Our goal is to create an incredible personal experience for fans around the true passion of basketball. That’s why it’s crucial to celebrate this moment with not only the fans who will be in Belgrade but also those who will be watching the Final Four from their homes.
I would like to express my gratitude to all our media partners and sponsors, especially Turkish Airlines. I want to convey to you my sincere thanks for standing with us even in our toughest times.”
