The Sandbox (SAND), in collaboration with project accelerator Brinc, has introduced a $50 million “Accelerator” program aimed at investing in numerous metaverse startups.
As outlined in the press release on January 26, the program is set to launch in the second quarter of 2022 with the goal of supporting 40 to 50 projects within three years.
Under the program, startups accepted can receive investments of up to $250,000, and there will be airdrops of $150,000 worth of SAND tokens and LAND land.
The Sandbox has initiated this program to foster new initiatives that can contribute to the growth and expansion of the metaverse ecosystem.
The call for applications encourages blockchain startups planning to pioneer in the arts, collectibles, culture, entertainment, gaming, media, and content sectors to apply.
