The Horizon Zero Dawn Movie Will Be Released in 2027
Documents submitted to the court as part of an ongoing lawsuit between Sony and Tencent have revealed the schedule Sony has set for the Horizon Zero Dawn movie. Sony plans to begin filming before the end of 2026. This means details such as the cast and director will be determined very soon. According to the same documents, Sony plans to release the movie to cinema lovers in 2027.
Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in the 31st century. In this future, where giant robots rule, humans live as technologically regressed tribes. At the center of the story is a young warrior named Aloy. It is said that the movie adaptation, like the first game, will tell Aloy‘s origin story.
