Lumia 2 can track blood flow, sleep, and health data through ear-worn smart earrings. Weighing just 1 gram, the earrings promise up to 8 days of use with replaceable batteries.

Standing out as the harbinger of a new era among products combining wearable technology with fashion, Lumia 2 was introduced recently. The result of a six-year development process by Lumia, the Lumia 2 is designed with a jewelry aesthetic and provides health data that no previous wearable device could offer.

Can Measure Blood Flow from the Ear The company announced that these are the world’s first smart earrings capable of tracking blood flow and various health metrics. For those who experience dizziness or lightheadedness when standing up quickly, Lumia 2 makes it possible to understand the causes of this phenomenon by monitoring blood flow. The electronic platform and infrared light sensor located behind the left earring measure blood flow from the ear artery closest to the brain. While most wearable devices measure superficial capillaries at the wrist or fingertip, Lumia 2 directly detects changes in blood flow to the head. These measurements provide critical data that directly affects our energy levels, focus, and general feeling throughout the day.

Produced from platinum and titanium, Lumia 2 is offered in Huggie Hoop, Cuff, or Ball Stud models, with gold, silver, and clear coating options available. Additionally, thanks to the patent-pending ‘SwitchBack’ technology, it can be easily added to existing earrings.

Weighing under 1 gram and five times smaller than Apple AirPods, Lumia 2 can perform many functions such as sleep, temperature, and cycle tracking. The earring tracks daily life habits such as hydration, nutrition, posture, movement, and sleep, analyzing the body’s reactions to these habits and offering users the opportunity to make informed decisions.

A secure locking system and a replaceable battery pack have also been added to the earrings. The batteries offer a 5-8 day battery life. On the other hand, although the device design may seem aimed only at women, there are options for men as well. The ear cuff model does not require a piercing and will be offered in matte titanium and transparent colors.

Monthly Subscription Required Lumia 2 is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Currently, Lumia 2 will only be available for sale in the USA and Canada. The price was announced as $249, with a monthly subscription fee of $9.99. Meanwhile, the original Lumia 1 was developed with researchers from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Duke University for Long COVID and POTS patients. However, Lumia 2 is not a medical device and does not intend to diagnose or treat.
