Standard Chartered join Sandbox Metaverse Mega City II

Blockchain-based gaming company The Sandbox has teamed up with UK banking giant Standard Chartered and other contributors to complete the second phase of the metaverse Mega City. The price of the metaverse coin SAND has been fluctuating slightly around the time of the announcement.

Sandbox , a subsidiary of Animoca Brands , has announced a series of new partners for Mega City 2, the second phase of Hong Kong’s cultural hub in the metaverse. Partners are members of the Animoca Brands family of companies. The second phase of Metaverse Mega City has been made possible thanks to partnerships with players from various industries such as travel and tourism; hospitality; culture; media; Education; finance; investment; music and entertainment; and others.

Metaverse coin and projects revive the cultural metaverse

The identities of the new participants in Mega City’s phase two expansion were revealed in a blog post by metaverse investor and game publisher NFT , the latest in a series of announcements . Standard Chartered, Ocean Park, Regal Hotels Group, Tatler Asia, EVI, Brinc, MADworld, Gameone, Chord Hero, Time Gates of Hong Kong Pop Culture and UFO School are among the companies joining forces.

Our new partners share our creative vision of building an open metaverse while bringing some of the best of what makes Hong Kong a multicultural, vibrant city. They are reinventing and innovating themselves through The Sandbox platform to deliver unique virtual experiences .

Metaverse land sales

A new LAND sale will launch on April 28 to allow players to purchase LAND and become part of the Mega City neighborhood available to them through the Sandbox.

As Metaverseplanet.net  reported, following the announcement of the first phase of Mega City in January, this latest development increased the total number of Mega City stages to three. After all, as mentioned earlier, the ultimate goal is to bring Hong Kong’s culture to the metaverse. As part of The Sandbox’s ambitious initiative, several deals have been made with the city’s heavyweights in the film, music, entertainment, acting, professional services, gaming and other industries.
